Frequently asked questions
Do you take insurance?
Yes! We take Blue Cross Blue Shield, Blue Care Network, Priority Health, Aetna, ASR, and Medicare. Different plans have different coverage, so make sure to reach out to your provider to ask about coverage for ADHD testing.
Here are the billing codes we use: 90791, 96136, 96137, 96132, 96133.
How much does testing cost?
The cost of testing varies widely based on your insurance coverage. If you are paying out of pocket, the cost is between $1,500-$1,800. If you are using insurance, your provider may want you to pay full cost until you have met your deductible, they may charge a copay for each appointment, or they may provide full coverage. Make sure to reach out to your insurance provider to ask about coverage for testing.
How long is the testing process?
The time from start to finish is variable based on scheduling, but it can take about one month. There are three appointments in the testing process, as well as the time needed to write the final report. Your testing psychologist will be able to give you a more specific timeline, and can work with you on a specific deadline if needed.
Do I get a report?
Yes! At the end of the testing process, you will receive a comprehensive report that includes your identifying and background information, the results of all the tests you completed, diagnoses (if any), and recommendations for next steps. If diagnosed with ADHD, you can use this report when discussing appropriate medications with your physician, or when seeking accommodations at your school or workplace.
Do you test kids?
Right now we are only accepting new intakes with adults age 18 and older.
Can I get medications for ADHD?
We are not able to prescribe medications. If you have been diagnosed with ADHD, you can use the comprehensive report we provide you to seek appropriate medications through your psychiatrist, primary care provider, or any other prescribing professional.
Can I get accommodations for my school or workplace?
If you have been diagnosed with ADHD, you can use the comprehensive report we provide you to procure academic or workplace accommodations. For colleges and universities, you will typically go through the office of disabilities. At work, you will likely talk to your HR representative.
